Postdoctoral Researchers' Networking Tour 2018

The tour offers on-site visits to universities, research institutes and companies in the field of artificial intelligence, discussions with experts and numerous networking opportunities. Program related costs and a travel allowance are covered by DAAD . The tour takes place Sept 23rd-29th, 2018. Apply by July 15th, 2018.

Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (P.R.I.M.E.)

This funding program addresses postdocs of all nationalities, who see their future career in Germany, but who first wish to spend some time researching abroad. Funding is provided for 18 months, of which 12 have to be spent abroad and 6 at a German university.  Apply by August 31st, 2018.

Falling Walls Lab, Sept 13th, New York

The German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI) is hosting the Falling Walls Lab, a global forum for innovators to pitch their research and business ideas. Entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers will present their ground-breaking projects and business plans in three-minute pitches. Apply by July 27th.

Our DAAD regional office in New York is offering an internship in network administration. We are seeking  Information Technology majors  who are nearing the end of their studies   or  IT-graduate students . The internship will take place in New York City. Apply by August 1st.


German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI)
Media and Operations Internship

The German Center for Research and Innovation seeks a media and operations intern for a minimum of 6 months .
This position requires a commitment of 38.5 hours per week; additional evening and weekend hours may be necessary. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Apply by July 22nd, 2018.

...the popular German street food "Currywurst" is subject of an inter-city rivalry between Hamburg and Berlin? While Berlin is certain that the currywurst was invented by one of its inhabitants in 1949, Hamburg claims the dish was created there in 1947. While the dispute may never be resolved, do make sure to try one in Germany!
