IT News and Notes is BACK!

Our last IT News and Notes was in August of 2020. With the additional communications going out with COVID and other challenges related to changing conditions, we made the decision to halt our monthly IT Newsletter. Well... We are back! Over these last 20 months, we feel we have grown as a department and learned so many new things because of the pandemic and the technology challenges we all faced. We hope to share some of these things along with other tips and tricks in the coming months to support you with the use of technology in our district.
2 Step Verification
Thank you to all staff members who completed 2 Step Verification over the last two months. We have reached a 90% completion rate for this setup. We appreciate you taking the steps to make our data and systems more secure. This 2 step verification will stop most if not all attempts for unauthorized access to district information.

GIF of the Month
Each month our IT Techs (Joe, Josh, and Tim) will share a GIF to remind you of an important item related to Technology in Mentor. This week has to do with Self Service!

IT Support and Video

In IT Tips and Tricks this month learn some more helpful hints to help you organize and manage Google Drive on your MacBook. As Todd says, "It's always a good time to tidy up!"
Infinite Campus Flags

Infinite Campus is our most powerful tool in the district. We continue to find new ways to be more efficient and effective by using IC. Each month, Jan, Tracy and Joann will share information related to Infinite Campus.
Ever wonder what the different colored flags next to student names are for in IC? Hovering over them would give an explanation of their meaning. Students are flagged to help staff easily identify important information.
A Little IT Humor!
Doug always manages to keep things light around our office so we thought we would have him share some IT Humor each IT News and Notes with you! Enjoy!
