Pups, Paddles & Pints raise $5000

The second annual Pups, Paddles & Pints on Saturday, Feb. 27, in downtown Fort Walton Beach, raised about $5,000 for the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society. Six dogs and a cat also found homes. The event was organized by BOTE, The Boardroom Pub & Grub, and The Cowhead. Harrison Meyer of Fort Walton Beach won the prize drawing for a $699 Bote Aero Breeze inflatable paddleboard.

The Mac & Cheese Festival raises $45,000

Shrimp & Grits Festival raises $20,000

The 2nd Annual Shrimp & Grits Festival, hosted by Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer, raised $20,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. The festival highlighted local restaurants and chefs from Fort Walton Beach to 30A. READ MORE...

Vince's Beer Revealed!

NEW BEER AT PROPS! Watch this video from Jared Williams with Get the Coast, where he interviews our Vince Mayfield (Former Board Chair) on his new beer, "Vince's Gunslinger" now available at Props Craft Brewery on Miracle Strip. Vince was able to work with Props on crafting this small batch and for every pint ordered, Props will donate $1.00 to Emerald Coast Science Center!

Leadership Okaloosa is a 9-month leadership training and development experience designed to enhance the participant's leadership skills and provide community awareness. Fresh Start receives Concert Proceeds

Step One Automotive Group and Emerald Coast Harley Davidson recently partnered to present Thunderstruck, a live concert-show, honoring our military members. All proceeds from the event, $2,445.00, were donated to Fresh Start for Children and Families.

What could be more efficient than 30 minutes with a volunteer local attorney for FREE via Zoom? Okaloosa County Public Law Library is setting appointments NOW for the complimentary, 'Ask A Lawyer Program'.

Spoiler alert: Rumor has it that our very own Commissioner Trey Goodwin (District 4) will serve as a volunteer for an upcoming session!
