October was packed full of events and meetings! We started the month off with a Section meeting in Bowling Green to hear about some new and exciting things happening in the southwest part of our state, then quickly headed to Frankfort with WTS Kentucky to learn about the Wrong Way Driving Prevention Program. And the last week featured a joint webinar with ITE North Carolina Section. A huge thank you to every member and partner that helped organize, speak and attend these events.

We can't wait to see a great group of friends, members and colleagues from across the state on the 20th as we wrap up the year at the Annual Banquet! Our Executive Board will review the past year, and install new officers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to support the William "Bill" Seymour Scholarship via the Silent Auction! We've got a great collection of donated experiences and items thanks to our wonderful partners.

These prestigious awards recognize excellence in advancing transportation to meet human needs, and we want to celebrate your achievements at the 2026 Annual Meeting in Biloxi, MS.

Award Categories

Submit your best work in one or more of these focus areas:

• Complete Streets: Roadways designed for safety, convenience, and comfort for all users.
• Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO): Optimizing infrastructure through integrated, multimodal approaches.
• Safety: Initiatives that prevent accidents and protect people and property.
• Transportation Planning: Collaborative efforts to shape the future of transportation.
• Traffic Engineering: Projects that ensure safe and efficient movement of people and goods.
• Individual: Recognizing an ITE member who has made a standout contribution in any of the above areas.
