We've made it to autumn! And with trees changing color, so too will we see our Section change colors. ITE International has asked that all Sections and Districts review their websites, communication, and social media accounts for consistency with new guidelines. Our Section is nearly complete with the updates and will be announcing our new look soon! The Board is really excited with the new update and can't wait to share it with you all.

See below for the current schedule for ITE Kentucky for the remainder of 2025. October is full of opportunities to meet up with friends and colleagues across the state and region.

UK Student Chapter Speaker Series

The University of Kentucky Student Chapter held the first of their Speaker Series on September 25. A great group of students gathered to hear from Chase Wright and Steven Vogel of Strand Associates about their work on Gatton Park. Thank you Chase and Steven!

Anyone interested in presenting to the Student Chapter can contact the ITE Kentucky Board at kysite@itedsc.org.

ITE Kentucky - Committees

With the 2025 season of events already underway, the Board is asking for volunteers to assist in the various Committees that make these events possible and successful. A brief description of our Committees is included below. If any member is interested in lending their talents, expertise, and time to any of the Committees, please reach out to the officers at kysite@itedsc.org.

Golf Outing Committee

The Golf Outing Committee is responsible for organizing the Annual Golf Outing which benefits the William "Bill" Seymour Scholarship. Members of this committee identify sponsors, catering, and work with the Board to schedule and organize teams for the Golf Outing.

Community Service Committee

The new Community Service Committee is responsible for directing the Section's philanthropic efforts, so we can give back to the communities we serve as transportation practitioners. Committee members identify service opportunities, organize volunteers and schedule events with the Board.

Sponsorship Committee

The 2025 Board of Officers would like to start up a Sponsorship Committee to be a liaison between the Section and corporate entities. Members would facilitate Sponsorship opportunities and work with the other Committees to identify, contact, and manage relationships with corporate sponsors to help fund the Scholarship, events and training opportunities across the Commonwealth.

Student Engagement Committee

Our Student Engagement Committee is a vital part of the Section and the community of transportation professionals. They help facilitate conversations with Kentucky students and university faculty to attract and mentor talent. The Committee has successfully restarted the UK Student Chapter of ITE and is looking for alumni to aid in similar ventures at UofL and WKU.

Silent Auction Committee

The Silent Auction is a big part of the Annual Banquet and helps fund the William "Bill" Seymour Scholarship. The Committee coordinates closely with the Board, soliciting donations to and running the Silent Auction at the Annual Banquet.

Thank you for your continued support.
