ITE Releases New MaaS/MOD Resources
|
|
ITE has launched a new section of its website dedicated to our Institute Initiative, Mobility as a Service/Mobility on Mobility on Demand (MaaS/MOD). This one-stop shop offers a wealth of resources on MaaS/MOD, including more information on the Steering Committee and Working Group, the latest ITE-related MaaS/MOD activities and initiatives taking place, relevant
ITE Journal articles, ITE podcasts, and more.
A page has also been created in ITE's e-Community in support of the MaaS/MOD Institute Initiative to discuss topics of interest, questions and answers, as well as inform members of updates related to MaaS.

Trip Generation
Call for Data and Tuesday Session
|

ITE is expanding and improving its data collection for the upcoming 10th Edition of the
Trip Generation Manual, planned for release in early 2020. If you have conducted trip generation counts (whether urban or suburban or vehicle or person trips), we encourage you to submit data for inclusion in the
10th Edition Supplement and future editions of
Trip Generation Manual.
While in Austin, learn more about two of the industry's leading parking publications,
Parking Generation, 5th Edition and the National Parking Association's
Shared Parking,
and hear about new strategies for estimating person trip generation rates and innovative techniques for managing parking demand. Then hear about a practitioner’s experience with new strategies for estimating person trip generation rates and innovative techniques for managing parking demand.

National Rural ITS Conference

If you're looking to gain tools and resources to effectively plan and deploy Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies within your jurisdiction, the National Rural ITS Conference is for you. Integrated into the Joint ITE International and Texas District Annual Meeting and Exhibit, the NRITS conference will provide participants a one-stop resource focusing on ITS implementation in local communities and the opportunity to hear new and thoughtful perspectives from a wide variety of ITS topics. Brandye Hendrickson, the current Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) deputy administrator, has been named the new deputy director of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Hendrickson served as the FHWA administrator for two years until Nicole Nason was named FHWA’s administrator in May. “I’m excited about continuing to serve the transportation community in this new role and joining such a great team at AASHTO,” Hendrickson said in a statement.
