Connecting you to information and resources for
Native American students and communities at UC San Diego.
Always, but especially during these uncertain times, the ITRC wishes you and your loved ones health and well-being. Updates regarding the university's response to the Covid-19 situation can be found here:

The Intertribal Resource Center is following all CDC and University guidelines to keep our students, communities and staff safe. At this time, the Center will be closed during the Spring quarter; all "in-person" programs and events at the Intertribal Resource Center (including, community meetings, study jams, midterm refuels, family nights, etc.) are canceled. We are working hard to transition to online/virtual programming and hope that you will join us online! If you need to reach us, please email us at For now and always, take care of yourself and each other.

What We've Been Up To...
Valley Center High School
Twice this past month, the ITRC visited Valley Center High School to meet with their Native American Club to discuss various partnership opportunities between Native Tritons and Native Jaguars (aka Future Native Tritons!).

If you would like us to visit your school or Native Club, please contact us at

We can't wait to meet you!
Kumeyaay Garden Meeting
Campus partners are ensuring the new Kumeyaay Garden remains part of the larger campus expansion. Marshall College and Sixth College are partnering to secure the garden's new, permanent location. The new proposed space would be larger than the current location of the garden and include seating areas and informational signage.
Winter Quarter Study Jam
The Intertribal Resource Center hosted it's quarterly Study Jam on March 11th. Our vision for the ITRC is a home away from home for our students. Throughout the quarter we provide quiet study space, support, meeting space, snacks, printing, and the occasional nap spot. Please keep an eye out for alternative virtual student resources and support programs during the Spring quarter!
