What We've Been Up To...
Family Night: Native Jeopardy
We had fun during the January Family Night playing a couple rounds of Native Trivia Jeopardy!

Winners received awards and snacks were provided.
Cuyamaca College Powwow
Our coordinator, Corrine attended and tabled at the Cuyamaca Community College powwow on February 8th. It was an excellent opportunity to meet prospective students and talk about what UC San Diego can offer Native students including the CASP and Tribal Membership Initiative scholarships.
Matlahuayl Meeting at Birch Aquarium
In December local tribal community members and elders gathered at Birch Aquarium, a gathering that was co-hosted by the Intertribal Resource Center. The group discussed the question: How can Birch Aquarium be more welcoming, inclusive, and representative of Native people? In January a small group met again to talk more specifically about Native community interests and opportunities. A follow up meeting is scheduled for March to determine next steps.
ANAMS - BNGAP Conference
The Association of Native American Medical Students presented at the Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians (BNGAP) Conference at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Alec Calac (Luiseño) also received a Trainee Leadership Award.

Congratulations!
