The Restoration Industry Code of Practice is Now Live!

We're proud to announce the official launch of the Restoration Industry Code of Practice, a landmark achievement that sets a new benchmark for professionalism and accountability across our sector.

This foundational document outlines clear, best-practice guidance for restoration professionals, supporting everything from compliance and safety to ethics and customer outcomes. Whether you're on the tools, running a business, or managing claims, The Code is a resource designed to support consistent, high-quality outcomes across the entire industry.

This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the contributions of our volunteers, technical experts, and industry partners. Thank you for helping raise the standard in restoration!

As part of the launch, we're now accepting nominations for the Code Governance Committee (CGC) - the independent body that will oversee the Code's adoption, and ongoing integrity of The Code. The CGC plays a critical role in reiewing complaints, monitoring compliance and recommending updates to ensure the Code remains relevant and effective.

We'll be formally launching The Code at the RIA Australasia Conference next week on the Gold Coast, where we'll unpack how the Code works in practice, how it complements the new Australian Standards, and what it means for our collective future.
