IU Hillel: Creating Virtual Community
Shalom,

With IU transitioning to online classes, we know that this is a challenging time. As your Jewish home away from home, we want to assure you that we are here for you. It is our mission to create a warm, welcoming, caring Jewish family and community that celebrates Judaism and Jewish life together ...
We believe that it is more important than ever before to stay in touch with one another. That is why we are announcing a series of initiatives to keep us together virtually as a community: IU Hillel E-Cares.

While this is a challenging time, we know that it is temporary. We as a Jewish people have often faced obstacles and challenges and have always been able to overcome them. We will soon be celebrating Passover, the story of our exodus from Egypt. We were able to overcome slavery to become a free people. Just as we have always done, we will emerge from this crisis if we find creative ways to be there for one another and each of us remembers the importance of helping those who are most vulnerable. We can create virtual community until it is safe for us to be together in person.

Sincerely,
Rabbi Sue Silberberg
and your IU Hillel Staff
