Keynote Speaker
Announcing Keynote Presenter Jeffery C. Yuen. He is recognized internationally as a scholar, teacher, and practitioner of Classical Chinese Medicine. Jeffrey is at the forefront of the restoration of the spiritual roots of Chinese Medicine.
 
His IVAS Keynote presentation is on “Chronic Inflammatory Diseases – A Wei Bing Approach” Chronic inflammatory diseases continue to be one of the most complicated and devastating conditions afflicting humans and animals alike. Most notable among these styles have been the Wen Bing (Warmth & Febrile Diseases) School that emerged during the late Ming and systematized by the Qing Dynasty. Rooted in their teachings is how to effectively treat and manage the inflammatory process.
 
Jeffrey C. Yuen comes from two Daoist lineages - training in all facets of Daoism, including Chinese medicine. Under the tutelage of his adopted grandfather, the late Daoist Master Yu Wen (1872-1981) of the Yu Qing Huang Lao Pai, a sect from the Shang Qing tradition of Daoism. He also studied Chinese herbal medicine with Master Gong Song-Liu.
