December 2022 | Volume 10

Dear IWF/MA Colleagues:

I hope this newsletter finds you happy, healthy and recharging your batteries as we prepare for a new year. Reflecting on all there is to be grateful for, being in connection with all of you is at the top of my list. I’m honored to serve as your president for another year.

There are few things more fun than getting together with over 65 of our members for a fantastic holiday celebration! And that’s just what we did on December 5th at the Encore Boston Harbor, courtesy of our host and new Board member Jenny Holaday.

IWF/MA 2022 Holiday Party

Your 2023 IWF/MA Board

Our Annual Meeting is a key time to thank women who have served on our board, and welcome those who are new to join. Heartfelt thanks to our board members who are terming off as of the end of December: Pam Hamlin, Mary Jeka and Carolyn Jones. And a big welcome to three new board members: Jenny Holaday, Lesli Suggs, and Pallavi Verma

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Adrienne Penta will serve as our Vice President in 2023, and will take the reins as president for her two-year term in 2024. Adrienne has been an active board member serving on our Finance and Membership Committees, and joined our recent entourage to the IWF World Leadership Conference in Las Vegas. Thank you Adrienne!

As I reflected at the annual meeting, the Board's path for IWF/MA has been about revisioning, revitalizing and now, sustaining our momentum into 2023 and beyond...all with diversity, inclusion and member engagement as our central focus. IWF/MA is your organization for connection, conversation, contribution and community. I hope you will come along with us in 2023 and participate in whatever way you can.

Looking Ahead to 2023

DineArounds are back!

By popular demand, we are bringing back IWF’s signature DineArounds- intimate dinners hosted at members’ homes. Whether your dining room is large or small, we would love you to consider being a host. IWF/MA covers the costs and the most important thing is the connection. Please let us know if you'd like to host. Our 2023 dates are: Tuesday, March 21, Tuesday, June 6 and Tuesday, October 24. Reach out to Kirsten and let her know which date we can put you in to host! We will open up registration very soon for attending, as well.

What else to look forward to…

We have members who run many of Boston’s storied institutions and we are planning several ‘Behind the Scenes’ opportunities exclusively for our members. We have lined up several already, so stay tuned! You can also look forward to our other signature event series like Up Close and Personal With…, Women Opening Doors for Women, Third Chapter, ad hoc social events and pop-up dinners. We’re also planning to brand a conversation series called ‘Time to Know About…’ featuring experts from our membership who can provide us with deeper dives on relevant topics of importance and interest.

Finally, don’t forget to think Global!!

We know some members are planning on Helsinki but it's a stretch for many others. However...the word on the floor at our holiday gathering was that Detroit was going to be a not-to-be-missed event! Put the dates on your calendar from now, and stay tuned to hear more.

Cornerstone Conference: Helsinki (June 14-16, 2023)

World Leadership Conference: Detroit (October 4-6, 2023)

And just to get you in the mood, enjoy a look at the photos below from Vegas. Join us next time!!

On behalf of the Board, best wishes for healthy and happy holidays to all.
