Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Cost: $25 per person

Location: Barry University's Monsignor Barry Memorial Library

11300 NE 2nd Ave | Miami Shores, Florida 33161

Our fellow IWF sister, Dr. Giselle Elgarresta Rios, the Monsignor Barry Walsh Endowed Director of the new Institute for Immigration Studies at Barry University, invites you and a guest (or guests) to a private guided tour of the Operation Pedro Pan Exhibit.

The exhibit is an immersive experience of photography, documents and artifacts that tells the Pedro Pan story of the 1960s, and the legacy of the children involved. Members will learn about one of the most significant events in South Florida's immigration history when 14,000 unaccompanied Cuban children arrived in Miami between 1960 and 1962. Many of these children have gone on to make significant contributions to South Florida and the rest of our country. Please let us know if you are a Pedro Pan participant or are related to one.
