National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration that brings together various organizations, from employers and labor organizations to education providers and government leaders. They gather to give Registered Apprenticeship the high five it deserves! This training model is the superhero of our economy, promoting racial and gender equity and creating a fast lane to quality jobs as well as creating a mechanism for employers to address their workforce issues. It's a surefire way to support underserved communities and build a better future for all.
This year's theme, "Registered Apprenticeship: Superhighway to Good Jobs," says it all! It's the perfect reflection of how Registered Apprenticeship is the turbo-boost we need to zoom past any roadblocks in our way. Plus, it promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in the workplace! It's the ideal way to get access to well-paying jobs for individuals who've been historically underrepresented, like women, people of color, and individuals with disabilities. It's also a smart way to fill workforce shortages in teaching, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, cybersecurity, and other high-flying sectors. Let's keep the celebration going!
