NEW IBERIA, La. --- The Iberia Performing Arts League recently released a letter addressing the 2019-20 and 2020-21 season of shows.
Letter:
"Dear Supporter of the Iberia Performing Arts League,
The pandemic certainly affected all of us. After much discussion, we at IPAL want to let you what are our PLANS are going forward.
Plans for remainder of 2019-2020 Season:
Unfortunately, IPAL had to cancel 8 performances of
The Music Man and the final show of the season,
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Those holding tickets for these performances/shows may choose to hold the tickets awaiting the return of IPAL performances, get a refund by calling (337) 364-6114, or simply allow the cost of your ticket to be a donation to IPAL.
Plans for 2020-2021 Season:
A committee of the IPAL board is beeing formed to determine the best course of action for our patrons, our actors and our organization. This committee will provide the IPAL Board with recommendations when more information is available on various phases of reopening from CDC and the Governor’s office.
Membership Drive for 2020-2021 Season:
Especially in this Covid-19 pandemic, we ask for your monetary support if possible. Your membership helps us meet the many challenges faced by a non-profit theater group. Whenever our new Season begins, IPAL still needs to pay yearly insurance, maintenance, utilities, telephone, royalties, set expenses, technical upgrades, theater improvements, costumes etc. IPAL memberships are crucial in keeping the Essanee’s doors open in the style you have come to expect. Membership entitles you to receive our newsletter and recognition in the program.
How to Become a Member:
To become a member, simply fill out this
form. Indicate the level of desired membership. Include your name as you wish it to appear in the program, your contact information, and, if possible, provide your e-mail address and mail it in with your check. As a member your role in IPAL is as important as any actor’s.
