ICE, THEN FLOODING, WHAT'S NEXT?

December started cold and our ice storm over Christmas was quite a finale of the early winter cold snap. Our reprieve this week with warm weather finally scoured the cold temperatures. However, that scouring came with record rain Monday. The wet mild weather should continue into the new year but the longer term forecast is for a colder January and February than normal.

The late fall and delayed leaf drop followed by several cold frosty days has us behind with leaf clean up, and the wet weather is slowing the final clean-up, but we will be diligent to finish as we move into January and move into our winter pruning and preparation for spring. We have several months of winter still ahead of us but we are already thinking of, planning for, and preparing for spring.
