Ambassadors on the Move
What's the Scoop
18 Division Street E
763-777-9166

A lifetime resident of Buffalo, Brady Elsenpeter and his wife Amanda wanted to bring some new flavor to downtown Buffalo. In October of 2017 they officially opened the doors of What’s the Scoop? and have become a sweet spot for residents, tourists and even the occasional pet!

With over 40 different flavors of hard scoop ice cream, you are sure to find something that will peak your interest. If you are craving something different they also offer a variety of hot dogs, malts, shakes, floats and even handmade ice cream cakes!

When Brady is not in the store you can usually find him at local sporting events, school events, birthday parties, graduation parties, or town festivals serving up ice cream on the go! With the new addition of the What’s the Scoop mobile ice cream truck they can provide a full scoop of fun and ice cream anywhere you need. Stop by the store or call and schedule a private event.

GOOD TO KNOW
BUFFALO TOURISM - STILL AT WORK

This office works hard to attract people to our community! We have great shoppes, lakes, parks, golf courses, winery, paintball field, eateries and orchards just to name a few things that draw people here on a regular basis! Of course our events, such as the Art & Craft Festival and Kite Festival are things we promote as they happen! We apply for grants that have some requirements as to where and how to spend those dollars. Due to COVID those were retracted and handed back out as a crisis grant with no restrictions so we can use those dollars more locally. That is good news this year as we encourage people in our own backyard to explore what Buffalo offers!

Explore Minnesota has changed its messaging, due to COVID, to explore more of the great outdoors. I'm sure you have seen this on TV - but it's a good start to get people to consider traveling again! They didn't use any voice over - just did great footage of Minnesota's regions with a fun musical track. Thought I would share!

Some of the recipes include orange ricotta pancakes, a farmers market detox drink; Mediterranean lamb skewers with chimichurri and cucumber-herb yogurt sauce; Irish brown bread, and quick-and-easy raspberry brulee.

The cookbook also features illustrations of an essential kitchen gadget list that can be found in her stores, DIY skills like rendering tallow, canning, preserving, foraging for mushrooms and more.

Here is the link to the story written in the Sun/Sailor regarding her second shoppe in Excelsior. Stopped in there last week myself and enjoyed a lunch next door with recipes that use some of her spices! Very fun!
