ICE DEN CHANDLER
PUBLIC SKATE INFORMATION
Thank you for registering to attend a public skate session at the Ice Den Chandler. Please thoroughly read the detailed information below to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for skaters and spectators.
 
Like many other businesses our team is currently short-handed, please be kind and respectful to the Ice Den employees who are working the session for your entertainment and follow all staff instructions, posted signs and policies.
ADMISSION PASS PICK-UP
Upon arrival at the Ice Den Chandler all skaters must check-in at Administration located in the lobby to receive an Admission Pass. The Admin Pass must be worn at all time during the public skate session and must be presented at Skate Rental to receive skates.

Admission Fee INCLUDES skate rental.

PLEASE NOTE: All skaters must be registered in advance online to participate in the session. Example: If you have four skaters in your group, you must purchase four passes.

Admin Desk: Opens sixty (60) minutes prior to posted public skate session start time.

Skate Rental: Opens thirty (30) minutes prior to posted public skate session start time.

The average temperature inside the rink is 56 degrees. The Ice Den encourages skaters and spectators to dress accordingly for warmth and safety. Helmets, socks, mitts/gloves and other equipment (not available for rental) is recommended. Hockey sticks + pucks and figure skating spins + jumps will not be permitted on the ice during public skating sessions.

Public skate sessions are traditionally held on the West Rink, unless otherwise noted. The ice surface is located to your right when facing the rinks.
SKATE RENTAL
Included in Admission Fee:

Over 800 pairs of ice hockey and figure skates are available to rent for your skating pleasure. Skate sizes range from Toddler size 6 through Adult size 15. Please note, due to skater volume on highly attended sessions, skate sizes are not guaranteed to be available. All skaters are encouraged to arrive early to ensure proper skate size availability.

  • Skate Rental opens 30 minutes prior to posted public skate session start time.
  • Helmets and individual protective equipment are NOT available for rental.
  • Thin socks that at minimum cover your ankles are recommended.
  • Skates are not available in half sizes, if between sizes it is recommended to size down. 
  • Please do not walk on concrete or place skate blades on metal bleachers.
  • Please return your skates to the skate rental counter when you are done skating.
SKATE TRAINERS - $5 RENTAL FEE
To assist some of our younger and beginner skaters, the Ice Den provides a limited number of skate trainers for public skating sessions*. The fee to rent a Skate Trainer is $5 payable at the Administration Desk. The skater will receive a wristband to show a member of the Guest Services staff identified by bright yellow uniforms to retrieve the trainer.
  • Children using a trainer must be accompanied by an adult skater.
  • For safety reasons, only the weight of the child should be placed on the trainer.
  • Adults should only assist the child and avoiding putting their weight on the trainer.
  • While using the trainer, please demonstrate proper use, common sense, and courtesy to all patrons.
  • Misuse of a skate trainer will result in loss of privilege.
*Skate trainers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
LOCKER RENTALS
The Ice Den is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home or safely secured (out of sight) in your vehicle. If you bring valuables into the rink, please keep them with you at all times.

Based on availability, on a first-come, first-served basis public Lockers are available to rent for a $0.75 fee. Quarters can be purchased at the Admin Desk. The $0.75 fee provides one-time IN/OUT access.
PUBLIC SKATE FAQs
  • Mask use is optional for all skaters, coaches and spectators. Complimentary disposable masks are available if needed.
  • Any individuals who are currently sick, recently sick, symptomatic, or high-risk/vulnerable to illness should not come to the rink.
  • Limit time in the building before and after scheduled ice time. Loitering will not be permitted.
  • Zamboni rides are not available.
  • Birthday parties are not offered. For information on private ice rentals please email the Admin & Events Team.
  • Group & program discounts are unavailable.
  • Hockey sticks & pucks are not permitted on public skate sessions.
  • Figure skating jumps and spins are not allowed.

  • No pets allowed. Service animals welcome.
  • No outside food and beverage is permitted.
  • All Ice Den Public Skate Free Admission Passes (regardless of expiration date) will expire 6/30/22. Public skate passes are not valid for Holiday Skates (12/1/21-1/2/22). See our website for details on how to redeem an Ice Den Public Skate Pass.
  • Effective March 2020: Pogo Passes are no longer accepted
  • NO REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS will be honored/awarded.
ON-SITE PRO SHOP
With two locations conveniently located inside the Ice Dens, Coyotes Ice Sports is a full-service pro shop. Featuring skate sharpening services and equipment, apparel and accessories from top brands including CCM, Bauer, Howie’s Hockey Tape and more.

Monday - Friday: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

18° EXPRESS & CHILLY BEAN CAFE
Open for your enjoyment, 18 Degrees Express and the Chilly Bean Café provide a wide range of food and drink options. Guests can view the East Rink from the comfort of the restaurant which features a modern-American menu and full bar including local and domestic drafts. The Chilly Bean Café offers convenient grab and go, serving Cartel Coffee and Coca-Cola products. Outside food and beverage is prohibited.
 
The Chilly Bean Café is open during all public skate sessions. 18 Degrees opens daily at 4 p.m. and closes based on the ice surface schedule.
