The Ice Denettes Synchronized Skating Program is excited to announce upcoming tryouts to field competitive synchro teams based at the Ice Den Scottsdale! Our Ice Den Synchro Community looks forward to introducing the discipline to and welcoming new skaters this season.

Currently over 100 skaters compete on eight (8) teams based at the Ice Den Chandler. Skaters range in age from 5 years old to over 60 with basic skills experience to Olympians!

The newly formed teams in Scottsdale will train to compete in Poway, California, the weekend of February 11, 2023 alongside the existing Ice Denettes. Our goal is to build rosters that feature a high level team and a skills team. 

All skaters interested in learning more or simply curious and want to try team skating are encouraged to register to tryout.

WHEN: Monday, November 21, 2022

• 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. = Aspire Skills Teams: Basic 4 - Freeskate 6

• 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. = High Level Tryouts: Pre-preliminary - Senior MITF

Skaters are required to wear all black skating attire with long hair pulled back in a bun or ponytail.

After a guided warm-up, each skater will have the opportunity to demonstrate a few individual favorite/best skills or elements, or elect to skate a 30-second or shorter "mini-program" without music to showcase their best skills.

If a skater is unable to participate in the tryout, please contact the Ice Denettes via e-mail to schedule a private tryout.

Weekly practices are anticipated to be held Mondays from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and select Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Confirmed schedule, skater contract and registration fee will be shared after teams have been created. Choreography Boot Camp for new teams is scheduled for Sunday, November 27 between 3:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Ice Den Scottsdale. Alternate arrangements will be made to the best of our ability for those unable to attend.
