Dear Academy Families,
Our athletics department is currently exploring the possibility of starting a softball program as well as ensuring the future success of a young ice hockey team, both of which need an established pipeline of young students who are interested.
If you have a daughter in grades 5-12 who might be interested in learning more about the sport of softball, please complete this survey by December 1 if you have not already done so.
Also, anyone who has a son or daughter in grades K-8 who might be interested in learning more about ice hockey -- check out a recent Facebook post about the first two girls on Academy's team -- should register their child(ren) for a free open-skate session prior to our varsity team's game on Sunday, December 8, against St. Francis DeSales at Easton Chiller.
Academy ice hockey assistant coach Pete Wishloff is inviting kids who already play as well as those wanting to learn how to skate and play hockey to a training session from 3:50-4:50 p.m. on the Easton Chiller ice. Everyone is then encouraged to stay and root for our Vikings in their 5:00 p.m. game with DeSales. The party room at the rink has been reserved for Academy from 4:15-7:30 for all who want to participate in a tailgate.
Register students in grades K-3 at
There will be no charge for either the skates or ice time.
