Ida Floods NYC: What To Do if You've Been Affected
TRAVEL ADVISORY
  • Alternate Side Parking Regulations are suspended through Wednesday, September 8, to facilitate storm response. This includes the Labor Day and Rosh Hashanah holidays already on the ASP calendar.

  • Metro-North service is running on an enhanced weekend service schedule on Harlem and New Haven lines and there is no service on the Hudson Line.

  • Most NYC Subway lines are operating normally but MTA is urging travelers in Queens to consider the LIRR, if possible. Read more here.

  • NYC Buses are operating at near-normal service.

  • Amtrak trains are operating normally on the Northeast corridor but trains between Albany and New York City remain canceled.

  • Governor Hochul has directed state agencies to deploy additional assets downstate to assist local governments. The governor announced today that President Joe Biden will help New York.
  • Gov. Hochul said that damage from the flash floods in NYC and the Hudson Valley are likely to exceed federal disaster thresholds and qualify New York State for additional federal aid.
  • Officials from the state Department of Financial Services are available to aid with filing claims.
