At the Idaho REALTORS® 2022 Convention, our association asked members across the state to help raise funds for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation(RRF) in the wake of Hurricane Ian. RRF) is an organization dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. Created as a REALTOR®-driven response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, RRF continues to restore and rebuild communities affected by disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes thanks to the generosity of individual REALTORS®, REALTOR® Associations, and affiliated organizations. Idaho REALTORS® Executive Council Challenged members to raise $5,000 over the course of the convention week with a promise to match all donations raised during the week. Members across Idaho beat the challenge and donated $7,585 during the week. Adding the match from Idaho REALTORS® EC along with a $2,000 Donation from IR Past Presidents, the state association raised a grand total of $17,170. This was a tremendous effort by Idaho members, and IR was fortunate to have Dave Legaz, the 2022 RRF Campaign Chair in person during the October Board of Directors Meeting on October 7th to share some of the great work RRF does with REALTOR® donations throughout the year.
