Inspiring Leaders
REALTORS® are leaders, and we are grateful for the inspiring words shared with our association last week. From the start of the 2022 Leadership Academy, to our Day at the Capitol and Leadership Summit, our members have had amazing access to community and industry leaders who have shared their insight and experience. Individuals such as Governor Brad Little and Justice Robyn Brody shared their extraordinary experiences from their time in state government and how those experiences inform their decision-making while working to support our state. In addition, past NAR President Vince Malta and Carl Carter with the Beverly Carter Foundation both spoke with members at the Leadership Summit on their own journeys as leaders in our industry. Idaho REALTORS® is fortunate and thankful for the time and talent shared by these phenomenal individuals with our members. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events so successful. 
Idaho REALTORS® Day at the Capitol
Idaho REALTORS® had an incredible Day at the Capitol this past Tuesday, February 1st. The event started at 1:00 pm (MST) in the Lincoln Auditorium with Idaho REALTOR® and State Representative Ned Burns, followed by an hour-long Q and A with legislative leaders including House Speaker Scott Bedke, House Majority Leader Mike Moyle, House Majority Caucus Chair Megan Blanksma, and Senate President Pro Tempore Chuck Winder. Supreme Court Justice Robyn Brody joined later in the afternoon to discuss the significance of Idaho's Judicial branch. The day closed with Governor Brad Little discussing the 2022 budget priorities critical to Idaho and REALTORS®. Day at the Capitol was fantastic, and we are thankful to all of the members who were able to join us.

GRI 101 - Taxation & Investment Property; Tax & Self-Employed with Chris Bird
This course includes some of the most relevant issues that REALTORS® need to be aware of, including the latest information regarding the tax-deductibility of Real Estate Taxes on a principal residence as well as the changes in the home mortgage and home equity indebtedness interest deductibility rules as a result of recent tax reform (2017), the latest information regarding the tax changes to the IRC 1031 Exchange, and the latest information on how the tax changes impact deductions for real estate investment properties.
