Greetings! Serving REALTORS®, consumers, and our amazing state of Idaho is my passion and has been since becoming a REALTOR® in 1992. My goal has been to “be the best version of me” always, and to make things better for those who follow. Volunteering to move our industry and our association forward is a part of my life as I continue to give my time, talent and energy to the REALTOR® organization at all levels. On May 14th at the NAR Board of Directors Meeting I was honored at the highest level for my contributions and service ~ The NAR Distinguished Service Award ~ speechless ~ shaking ~ kind of surreal ~ blessed ~ honored and over the moon excited! I love being a REALTOR®! The DSA is awarded to 2 REALTOR® members each year and it is the highest honor outside of the presidency bestowed on an NAR member. The Boise Regional REALTORS® and the Idaho REALTORS® are the best in the land and I am so proud to represent you all as the first DSA from Idaho and the 100th DSA honored since the award was established. In November, at the NAR Conference in San Diego, I will be officially inducted as a DSA and will address the Board of Directors on behalf of all of you. Thank you all for being my friends.

Our senior economist George Ratiu explains. Author: realtor.com ‌ New Home Sales Fall Short of Expectations, but Dropping Lumber Prices Could Provide Breathing Room  The numbers: New home sales dropped by a larger-than-expected amount, falling to the lowest level in a year. New home sales occurred at a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 769,000 in May, the U.S. Census Bureau reported Wednesday. The figure represented a 5.9% drop from the previous month’s revised figure, but was up 9.2% from a year ago. The new home sales report often sees very significant revisions in subsequent months following the initial estimates. The U.S. Census Bureau noted that the change in new home sales between March and May could be 18.6% larger or smaller than what it is currently reporting, a wide confidence interval.
