Lawsuit against ISP claims unlawful arrest of protester

A Boise woman arrested and later acquitted by a judge following a June 2022 abortion protest has filed a lawsuit in federal court against several Idaho State Police officers.

Our state is a destination for summer recreation and holiday celebrations. Ahead of the July 4th weekend, Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris issued a public advisory reminding out-of-state visitors that they will face consequences for drug possession.


"This isn't Spokane. This isn't Washington," Norris told Idaho Reports. "You're not going to get a pamphlet on where to get help. You're likely to go to jail."

Idaho Republicans establish presidential caucus, tighten ranks during summer meeting 

During its summer meeting, the Idaho Republican Party easily passed several proposals that raised concerns among some long-time party members. While some Republicans praised the meeting last weekend as the most unified and well-organized the party has seen in a decade, others walked away worried leadership was shutting out dissent.

New judge assigned to Bundy-St. Luke's lawsuit

Fourth Judicial District Judge Lynn Norton has voluntarily disqualified herself from the lawsuit brought against Ammon Bundy, and was replaced by Judge Nancy Baskin. Meanwhile, a warrant for Bundy's arrest is still out for contempt of court.
