Dr. Scott Snell Named 2025-2026 College of Education Kole-McGuffey Award Recipient

Scott Snell, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025-2026 Kole-McGuffey Award for Excellence in Educational Research. This prestigious award is given by the College of Education to a graduate student whose research has made an impactful contribution to the field of education. Snell’s professional background is rooted in academic nursing, where he previously served as an associate professor and registered nursing program manager at the College of Southern Idaho.

Leadership in the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences

Vice President for Academic Affairs Adam Bradford recently announced interim leadership team that will guide the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences. Beginning July 1, 2026, Dr. Katherine Reedy will serve as the interim dean of the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, with Drs. Esther Ntuli and Jessica Winston serving as associate deans. Each of these leaders brings a wealth of scholarly excellence and administrative experience to their new roles.

Leadership Announcement: Interim Executive Director, School of the Arts

Vice President for Academic Affairs Adam Bradford recently announced that Professor Tara Young, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance, has agreed to serve as the Interim Executive Director of the new Idaho State University School of the Arts, effective July 1, 2026. This appointment is a critical step as we move forward to create a community-engaged, entrepreneurially-attuned School of the Arts that will strengthen our regional impact.
