Bridging the Distance: How a Robot is Helping Build Connection Across Campuses

In a world of hybrid work and virtual learning environments, creating meaningful, spontaneous human connection is one of the biggest challenges higher education faces—especially when operating across multiple campuses. At the L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy, we deliver a synchronous Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program across three campuses: Pocatello, Meridian, and Anchorage. Administrators, including the dean, can only be physically present at one site at a time.

Lights, Sound, Action! Drama, Direction, and Discovery at One-Act Festival

More than 250 students from 17 high schools across the state attended the annual High School One-Act Competition and Theatre Workshops. This annual high-energy event combines student competition with hands-on learning, offering workshops in everything from lighting and sound to stage combat, stage makeup, improv, and playwriting.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
