Leif Tapanila, geosciences professor and director of the Idaho Museum of Natural History, is a co-author on a scientific paper published this summer in the Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History that describes the Trans-Saharan Seaway in Mali, Africa, and the strange creatures that existed there 50 to 100 million years ago.

This fall the Idaho State University Outdoor Adventure Center is offering free first-time trips to students for a wide variety of outdoor fun.
“We want to give all the Idaho State University students access to the Outdoor Adventure Center and we understand there are certain financial limitations that might keep some of students from being able to participate,” said Justin Dayley, Outdoor Adventure Center director. "We want to invite every student to come in and participate on a trip and to get to be part of the Outdoor Adventure Center, part of ISU and to appreciate why they are coming to an Idaho school.”

Jeff Christensen’s connection with the Career Center predates the years he has worked there. When he was a student about 11 years ago, Christensen used the Career Center’s services, and had Erickson as a counselor.
“I came to the Career Center to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up,” Christensen said.
