Robert W. Wagner Named Idaho State University's 14th President

The Idaho State Board of Education has named Robert W. Wagner as the next president of Idaho State University. Dr. Wagner is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Utah State University.

ISU Awarded Grants to Increase Support for Children who are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders was recently awarded two grants from the Office of Special Education Personnel Preparation totaling $2.2 million over the next five years. Funds will train and provide financial support to 42 scholars who will be related service providers and educators focused on serving children who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing in early intervention.

Dr. Cory Bennett Leads Publication for NCSM: Leadership in Mathematics Education

Chair and professor for the Teaching and Educational Studies Department, Dr. Cory Bennett recently led the publication of a new position paper on Supporting All Students through Flexible Grouping Strategies. The paper centers on using strengths-based flexible grouping practices to create inclusive classrooms to appropriately develop students’ mathematical talents.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
