University Budget Process Update, Upcoming Budget Town Halls

ISU’s budget realignment and revenue-generation strategies, discussed in this video and on the Budget Planning website, prioritize long-term structural alignment to support efficiency, clarity, and strategic reinvestment in ISU’s mission. Decisions were made after a collaborative process, with careful and thoughtful consideration. Please watch the video in its entirety for more information and an understanding of our complete budget reduction responses. Employees are invited to attend an upcoming town hall event for further discussion. These town hall events will be in-person only.

Watch ISU Graduate Students in the Idaho Statewide 3MT® Competition Feb 17

All are invited to join the ISU Graduate School in cheering on the four graduate students from Idaho State University competing in the Statewide Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition on February 17. The event takes place in Coeur d'Alene, ID and is available for viewing via Zoom.

A New Space for Reflection: ISU Celebrates Student Meditation and Reflection Room

Idaho State University and ISU Foundation are pleased to announce the new Student Meditation and Reflection Room on the Pocatello campus. Opening February 24, the new Student Meditation and Reflection Room will provide a quiet, inclusive space for members of the campus community—regardless of faith or spiritual beliefs—to pray, reflect, and meditate.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
