ISU School of Performing Arts Presents “Cendrillon” a Cinderella Opera

Idaho State University’s School of Performing Arts will perform “Cendrillon” on Feb.16, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Frazier Hall. “Cendrillon” is Massenet’s beautiful operatic retelling of the fairy tale of Cinderella, translated to English. We meet the horrible stepmother, Madame de la Haltière, and step-sisters Noémie and Dorothée, Cendrillon’s kind-hearted father, Pandolfe, the Fairy Godmother, and, of course, Le Prince Charmant.

Idaho State University Chemists Tackle the Plastic Pollution Problem

A potential solution to the plastic pollution plaguing the planet is being developed at Idaho State University. Recently, Cori Jenkins, assistant professor of chemistry, and Joshua Pak, professor and chair of the chemistry department, received a $583,930 grant from the Department of Energy to look into new, less expensive, and energy-efficient methods of upcycling plastics.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
