Founder's Day of Service Returns in Honor of Theodore Turner, Other Pivotal ISU Founders

As part of ISU's 125th Anniversary, the Associated Students of Idaho State University are pleased to announce the return of Founder’s Day of Service on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Students, employees, alumni and community members are invited to join ASISU in a day of volunteerism in support of several on-campus and off-campus service projects. Those who wish to volunteer should meet at the Quad Lounge in the Pond Student Union at 8:45 a.m.

Effective Immediately: Spending Restrictions Through June 30, 2026

As we prepare for implementation of several structural changes in FY2027, we must also carefully steward our current fiscal year (FY2026). Our initial budget planing strategy included a $500,000 operating holdback and salary savings generated through the OAR process. Additionally, we have been asked to plan for a further 1–2% reduction ($1–2 million) in the current fiscal year. To responsibly manage this shortfall and avoid more disruptive measures—such as year-end furloughs—we will work together by immediately curtailing discretionary spending in central university funds.

College of Technology Student Represents at Idaho State Capitol During CTE Month Proclamation

After graduating from high school, Greysen Malmstrom enrolled in the welding technology program at ISU in Fall 2023. Through hands-on training, strong instruction, and a competitive learning environment, he developed both technical skills and personal confidence. He is now a member of Business Professionals of America, a national student organization that develops leadership, professionalism, and career skills, recently participating in a proclamation event marking February official CTE Month by Governor Brad Little.
