Impactful Teaching and Research Faculty Highlights February 2025

As part of a new initiative to recognize impactful research, teaching and creative scholarship across Idaho State University campuses, five faculty who have made meaningful contributions in these key focus areas are being honored for the month of February 2025. Additional faculty will be highlighted each month.

Kasiska Family Continues Tradition with $800,000 Contribution

The Kasiska Family Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of Idaho State University, contributing over $21 million to educate students in health care fields. Their most recent donation of $800,000 continues this tradition of generosity. Bengal Giving Day contributions will be match 5:1.

Molecular Research Core Facility Honors Student Scientists

The science and creativity of students looking down the eyepiece of a microscope is being highlighted by ISU’s Molecular Research Core Facility, who recently named the winners of its first microscopy image competition. Students submitted images taken while working in a research lab or as hobby microscopists.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
