Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day Throughout February

Members of the ISU women's basketball team and National Girls and Women in Sports participants

Idaho State University will celebrate the 2025 National Girls and Women in Sports Day for the entire month of February. Every week from 4-6 PM, different sporting events will be held for all faculty, staff, students, and alumni to participate in. Activities will take place on February 11, 19 and 26, and are all-inclusive.

ISU's Applied Behavior Analysis Minor Becomes Idaho's First Verified Course Sequence

The Association for Behavior Analysis International has officially recognized the Applied Behavior Analysis minor program at Idaho State as a Verified Course Sequence. This status indicates that the program's courses meet the educational requirements for students to become eligible to sit for certain certification exams in behavior analysis.

Honoring Sandra Noakes: Trailblazer for Women’s Athletics, Champion for ISU

Sandra Dee Noakes, a pioneering advocate for women’s athletics and a beloved professor at Idaho State University, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at her home in American Fork, Utah, at 88 years old. Sandra spent her childhood in Centerville, Utah, but it was in Pocatello, Idaho, that she would make her most profound impact.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
