ISU to Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 3

ISU will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) with $5 ticket vouchers (no limit), free shirts, and pom-poms during the women’s basketball game against Northern Arizona in Reed Gym on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2 p.m.  At halftime, the 2024 Trailblazer Award, given annually to a woman or women who have made significant contributions to the evolution of women’s sports, will be dedicated to the late Faye, Naida, and Ruth Yost.

College of Business to Offer Free Tax Prep for Students and Community Members in Need

Continuing their longstanding tradition, Idaho State University College of Business students and faculty are offering students and community members in need the opportunity to get their taxes filed for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Students will begin filing every Thursday from 5 - 9 p.m. January 25 - March 14 in the Rendezvous Complex, Room 213. Rendezvous is located on Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Pocatello.

ISU Mourns the Loss of Department of Psychology Chair Dr. Tera Letzring

Dr. Tera Letzring, chair of the Department of Psychology, passed away on Friday, January 19, after a sudden medical emergency. She leaves behind a loving husband, Darin and their two sons, Paul and Noah. Dr. Letzring was an integral part of the Department of Psychology for 19 years, serving as chair for the last three years. She made significant contributions to the academic community and touched the lives of countless students and colleagues.
