Construction Project Underway to Add On-Campus Starbucks
Demolition started last month on the two-phase construction project to add a Starbucks to the first floor of the Eli M. Oboler Library. The addition of a Starbucks to the southwest corner of the building is part of efforts to renovate and enhance the library. The library project includes multiple student-centered upgrades to the first-floor common areas, leveraging a $1.7 million gift specifically designated for library upgrades.

First-Generation College Graduate Establishes Endowment For First-Generation Students
Growing up in a farming community in rural Idaho in the 1960s, Dr. Blaine Nisson never imagined he would now be a retired college president. From his choice to become the first person in his family to go to college in 1968 to graduating with a doctoral degree in 2003, Nisson says he attributes all of his success and life accomplishments back to that one decision to attend Idaho State University.

New Registration System Coming Soon

We are excited to announce an update to the way students register for classes. The new Registration Landing Page, which will go live soon, provides an updated registration look and feel, as well as additional useful tools for students and advisors. The Office of the Registrar and ITS are excited to roll out the new functionality of this upgrade for campus use. We have a short video that demonstrates the new tool.

Idaho State Today is a twice-weekly employee newsletter that shares University successes, campus updates, and recognizes faculty and staff accomplishments. All past editions of the newsletter are archived online.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
