Geosciences Professor Honored by Society for Sedimentary Geology

An Idaho State University professor is taking home one of the top honors in the field of sedimentary geology. Recently, Kurt Sundell, assistant professor of geosciences, was named the 2025 winner of the James Lee Wilson Award by the Society for Sedimentary Geology.”

Bengal Success Center to Open March 13

A Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening celebration for the new Bengal Success Center will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Attendees are asked to meet in Rendezvous Room 129, then will be guided to the third floor. Light refreshments will be served.

Commencement Volunteers Needed

Pocatello’s commencement ceremonies are Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the ICCU Dome. Because this is such a large-scale event, we need many volunteers to help make the day run smoothly for our graduates and their guests. Volunteer roles will include ushers, college line-up and processional support, directional guides, and more.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
