Tech Expo Draws Thousands of Students to ISU

Thousands of middle and high school students from across the state converged on the Idaho State University Holt Arena on Thursday for the 22nd annual Tech Expo. The event provided students with a glimpse into the world of career technical education (CTE) and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers as well as the opportunity to interact with industry partners and explore various academic programs.

Corey Zink Named Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management

After a national search, Dr. Corey Zink has been named Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.  Zink has worked at Idaho State University since 2013, when he accepted the position as the Director of Student Services for the College of Technology, where he served until 2019, also earning his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration. In 2019, he accepted the role of Executive Director of Academic Advising and Assessment for the Division of Student Affairs.

HOSA State Leadership Conference Held at Idaho State University

Nearly 800 Idaho high school students were on campus March 8-10 for the annual Idaho HOSA Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference, attending symposiums and competing in academic health care challenges. Traditionally, the conference is held in Boise, but organizers opted to bring it to Idaho State University for the first time this year. More than 100 Idaho State University faculty, staff and student volunteers were on-hand for the event.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
