Did You Know? Hutchinson Quadrangle

The Quad was dedicated to Ralph F. Hutchinson, a former football coach and athletic director in the 1920s. After his death in 1935, his ashes were scattered over the field. In honor of their beloved mentor and friend, ISU vowed to never build on the Quad, which is why all the buildings circle it.

Nuclear Engineering Professor to Serve as Fulbright Specialist in the Philippines

An Idaho State University professor has been selected to help get a country’s nuclear energy aspirations off the ground.

Recently, Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar, professor of nuclear engineering and associate dean of ISU’s College of Science and Engineering, was selected to serve as a Fulbright Specialist in the Philippines.

Paws & Plates-Summer Pop Up Lunches

Lunch time just got better on campus! Carved + Crafted Catering is back this summer with Paws & Plates Pop-Up Lunches starting May 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Pond Student Union and returning every other Wednesday in different locations across campus. To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
