Although Idaho’s universities will be raising tuition for the first time in four years, Idaho State University is using several programs and initiatives to help keep higher education affordable and accessible to Idaho students.

Community and Public Health Professor Receives Grant to Combat Infectious Disease in Idaho

Dr. Kristin Van De Griend, assistant professor for Community and Public Health has been awarded nearly $342,000 to establish the Idaho Collaborative for Infectious Disease Prevention. The grant is funded by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and runs through December 2023.

Eleven students from the Idaho State University Teaching and Educational Studies Department were given the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic as part of the International Reaching Out and Reflecting (ROARing) Experience in May 2023.

Idaho State Today is a twice-weekly employee newsletter that shares University successes, campus updates, and recognizes faculty and staff accomplishments. All past editions of the newsletter are archived online.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
