Celebrate the exceptional work of Idaho State University faculty by submitting nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Faculty Awards. This is your opportunity to recognize colleagues who inspire students, contribute to the advancement of their fields, and make a meaningful impact on our community. Award recipients will be honored at a special reception in April and recognized during the 2025 Commencement ceremony.

Stephanie Smith Named Vice President for Advancement

After a nationwide search, Idaho State University has named Stephanie Smith Vice President for Advancement. Smith is a three-time graduate of Northern Arizona University (NAU), holding bachelor's degrees in political science and geography, as well as a master's in public administration. Currently, she serves as the Associate Vice President for Advancement at NAU.

Learn About Digital Accessibility Best Practices November 13-15

Idaho State University Disability Services will provide free online access to the Accessing Higher Ground Conference November 11-15, which focuses on accessible media, universal design and assistive technology. More than 40 hour-long sessions, ranging from writing alternative text for images to accessible procurement and creating accessible forms, will be offered.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
