Revolutionizing Research: Idaho State’s Rare Instrument Opens New Frontiers in Science

ISU researchers have secured one of just three instruments in the world that could change the way research is done in many fields like archaeology, biology, environmental science, and forensics. The machine is a high-tech mass spectrometer, an Agilent 8900, combined with an incredibly precise Excimer laser, and represents the latest technology available to researchers.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
