ISU Celebration Week Continues with Leonard Hall Grand Opening, Street Party, Hall of Champions Unveiling

ISU Celebration Week 2025 is going strong with events designed to create faculty, staff and student connection. Celebration Week will conclude this weekend with the unveiling of the Papenberg Hall of Champions in the ICCU Alumni Center, a floor-to-ceiling tribute to the people, moments and milestones that have shaped Bengal Athletics.

ISU Mourns the Loss of Professor Jeff Meldrum

Jeff Meldrum joined the faculty of Idaho State University in 1993 and was the longest-serving member of the Department of Biological Sciences. Over the course of his career, he taught curriculum from evolution to gross anatomy, and classes in anthropology, for radiographic science, and for the PT/OT programs.

The Graduate School's annual Three Minute Thesis competition is quickly approaching. Faculty are encouraged to inform students about this event and the details on how they can become involved. This year, 3MT will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Join the first-ever Great Ideas in Teaching (GIT) Mini Conference, hosted by the College of Education in partnership with the ISU Graduate School and Center for Learning and Instructional Excellence. The conference will be held November 7 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Pond Student Union. The theme is “Sharing Pedagogies and Practice,” and will include a keynote workshop with Dr. Liza Long, academic technology program manager for the Idaho State Board of Education.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
