Important Budget Update

Last week, Idaho State University and other state agencies were notified that the 3% one-time holdbacks for FY2026 are now permanent, affecting FY2027 and beyond. Our Budget Advisory Group is actively working on revenue and expense forecasts and scenarios and we will be engaging the University community in dialogue and discussion over the next several weeks and months as we formulate a plan for FY2027 and beyond.

Presidential Pop-Ups Scheduled

President Wagner is continuing his Bold Path Forward initiative this academic year with a series of Presidential Pop-Ups. As part of this initiative, each operational unit will be invited to an informal social hour as an opportunity to connect with colleagues and get to know President Wagner in a more relaxed setting. The next Presidential Pop-Ups are:

ISU-Idaho Falls, September 29, 3 p.m. BSUB 120
Division of Finance, September 30 10 am. in the Little Wood Room
College of Science and Engineering October 1 at 3 p.m., Lillibridge Room 111

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
