College of Education Launches First Scholarship Cohort of Future STEM Teachers

In response to a critical shortage of teachers in Idaho, select Idaho State University students have an opportunity to be awarded full tuition as well as cost-of-living expenses throughout their degree completion as part of the Idaho Making Progress Against Critical Teacher Shortages in STEM (IMPACTS in STEM) project.

Honors Student Returns from Public Health Scholars Program at Columbia University

Idaho State University honors student Elijah Escobedo spent his summer inquiring about the lives of New Yorkers. Escobedo, now a junior majoring in biology with a concentration in biomedical sciences from Twin Falls, wasn’t hawking some product or service; he was knocking on their door, wanting to hear what they had to say specifically about the public health topics affecting them.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
