College of Education Donates $15,000 of STEM Equipment to Boys & Girls Club

The College of Education recently served as the golden sponsor for the Boys & Girls Club Gala, where we announced an additional $15,000 donation for STEM equipment for students in our community. This contribution was made possible by a $48,800 grant from the Idaho STEM Action Center, which enabled over 100 elementary students to participate in the College of Education's annual K-5 STEM camp.

Idaho State University Mourns the Loss of Brandon Hendricks

Brandon Mikael Hendricks, 29, passed away on September 26, 2024, in Pocatello, Idaho. Brandon was an HR Associate at Idaho State University. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road.

Paid Parental Leave Expansion

In 2020, Governor Brad Little signed the Families First Act, establishing an eight-week paid parental leave benefit for State of Idaho employees upon the birth or adoption of a child. Recently, Governor Little announced that the State of Idaho is expanding the Paid Parental Leave policy to include foster care and kinship placement for eligible employees

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
