The American Association of University Professors has removed Idaho State University from the list of the AAUP’s sanctioned institutions.
The announcement was made by Gregory Scholtz, director of the AAUP’s Department of Academic Freedom, Tenure and Governance, in a letter to ISU President Kevin Satterlee dated June 17. Read More

Of the seven new species of prehistoric Idaho creatures Idaho State University Department of Geosciences affiliate researcher L.J. Krumenacker was able to help document and name in scientific journals that were published this month, his favorite is Cimolodon akersteni, named after his former advisor and paleontological mentor Bill Akersten, who retired from ISU about a decade ago. Health care agencies across Pocatello are working collaboratively to bridge a significant gap between the community and accessible health care. For many years, the Pocatello Free Clinic has collaborated with the Idaho State University Kasiska Division of Health Sciences and a multitude of other agencies to provide free health care services in Southeast Idaho. These services are available to those who are within 200% of the federal poverty level and without medical insurance. Read More
