The Williston Job Fair will be held April 25 at the Raymond Family Community Center. More than 90 businesses will be on site! Job seekers are advised to bring their resumes and creditials and be prepared for the the spot job interviews and offers! The Job Fair will be open from 3-7 p.m.

Candidate Forums April 30, May 1 and 3 in Williston
Williston Herald - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs committee, in conjunction with the Williston Herald, will be hosting forums for voters to get to know some of the candidates in the upcoming elections. Three forums will be held at the Williston ARC from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature those running in races where there are more candidates than open seats.   Read More

Williston Herald - The Chokecherry Festival was just beginning to be a gleam in the Williston eye when Amy Krueger became the new director of the Williston Convention and Visitors Bureau. ND Recycling offers E-rase Your E-waste April 20-21 in Williston
News Release - The Spring E-rase your E-waste is on now at North Dakota Recycling Services in Williston! The two-day event will be held April 20-21. All electronics will be accepted at no charge except CRT's (CRTS's are only $20-40). The event promotes recycling in Williston and celebrates Earth Day. A free BBQ lunch is being held today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A 5K run will be held tomorrow. Williston Herald - Coming back home from college to Sequim, Washington, Caitlin Pallai noticed something cool. The traffic signal light covers had been dressed up with vibrant artwork. At the time, it was just an "Oh look, isn't that neat," moment, but now that she's working in Williston and a member of the Chamber of Commerce's leadership academy, it's become something more. "It's a really neat way to introduce art, without bringing in a new piece, by transforming something that is already there," she said. "It's functional art." Read More
Larvick named 2018 Band Day Parade Marshal for May 12 Event

News Release - The Williston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Band Day Committee is pleased to announce United States Army Veteran, Jordis "Jordy" Larvick as the Band Day 2018 Parade Marshal. He will be featured in the annual parade on Saturday, May 12th, in Williston. Larvick has been marching in the hometown parade for over 60 years, starting in 1954 with the Williston Cowboys Drum and Bugle Corp. Read More
McKenzie County leads ND to Record Natural Gas Production in February
McKenzie County Farmer -  A cold February hurt North Dakota's oil production but natural gas. According to Lynn Helms, North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources director, the state  set a new record, 2,102,266 mcf per day of natural gas in February.  McKenzie County's 3,935 producing wells accounted for 40 percent of the state's oil and just over 51 percent of North Dakota's natural gas production. For the full story, subscribe to the McKenzie County Farmer

Jessie Veeder Scofield had no idea what to expect when she received an unexpected phone call early in the spring of 2017. It was the feminine based TV network, Lifetime. They were looking for a woman in every state who wished to share their story and she was chosen for North Dakota. Jessie said, "I was excited to be chosen to be a part of this." She had lots of stories. Jessie had grown up on a cattle ranch outside of Watford City that had been in her family for generations. Read More

Learn how to help new businesses thrive in Williston by attending the free meeting at Williston State College from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

05/08 ------ Sloulin Redevelopment Project - Williston Meeting
The public is invited to learn about the Master Plan for the project. The meeting will feature keynote Gov. Doug Burgum, City of Williston leaders and representatives from the project's key partnerships. The free program will run from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center.
