Card Writing Campaign
Students spreading kindness
Join us in our Operation Recognition Card (and letter) writing campaign. Our goal is to acknowledge local police and fire personnel by showering them with words of kindness and gratitude for all they do! Click on the link for the flyer giving instructions and suggestions.

Deadline is April 30th. Students spreading kindness by thanking our local heroes.
April is National Volunteer Month
A month dedicated to honoring the amazing volunteers in our community as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the year.

Here at The Giving Tree, we would like to give a heartfelt thanks to each and every one of our incredible volunteers. Some are able to give an hour... some give a hundred hours. But each of them are dedicated to our nonprofit and believe in our mission. We could not function without our volunteers. We thank each of them from the bottom of our hearts.

 Making an Impact

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our 5th Annual Helping Hands event on March 17th. The event once again proved to be such a success! We were overwhelmed with the amount of energy, participation and generosity displayed that day. You'll see what we mean when you check out the results of the day!
National Gardening Month

April is National Gardening Month. Are you are planning on a garden for the summer? Please consider growing a little extra to share. Food pantries and soup kitchens are always in need of fresh produce for their clients.

Take Your Child to Work Day

Thursday April 26th is 'Take Your Child to Work Day'. Incorporate a community service segment into the day for the children of your employees. Contact us for information about including Giving Tree projects into your day.
Project Parties
As a parent, instilling the value of 'giving back' and raising service minded children is a goal we all have. Keep our Project Parties in mind. There are some great 'kitchen table' hands-on activities to open discussions about individuals in need. Check them out here:
Corporate Sponsor
A special thank you to Hulton Contracting, Inc. of Colmar for their support. Not only did they so graciously become a part of our sponsorship but they sent a crew to assist with set up of Helping Hands!
