Did you see the news about Khari Willis, the 26-year-old NFL player who abruptly retired from football after three seasons to pursue a career in ministry?

If you read the stories, you probably noted as I did that reporters clearly couldn't understand what would drive a successful athlete to give up fame and riches to follow the Lord. But a Biblical worldview can help you make sense of this young man's obedience and bravery.

Khari Willis's story reminds me of when a rich young man came to Jesus looking for a path to eternal life. Jesus said:

Being an entrepreneur in today's challenging business climate is not for the faint of heart. Every day we deal with disappointment, challenges, and a lack of resources. If you put your value, worth, and identity into your business, you will be up and down as your business goes.

There's a better way.

You've probably heard the saying, "If it's meant to be, it's up to me."

Being a Christ-led entrepreneur is a faith journey. Our identity is in Christ. We must give up our own agendas and desires to follow God and trust Him completely with the outcomes of our businesses and lives.
